raiding on here

I have 6 people I used to play live servers with and right now we are messing around on call of wow private server. The raids have been set to tailor a smaller group to run them. I was wondering if this server had something similar since running a 25 man raid looks nearly impossible with such a low pop.

I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly but I'll try to answer it the best I can. We have not decided on the minimum number of players that have to join a raid, (It would most likely be 3 at the least) any lower would be against our rules. When you say tailor to a small group of people, do you mean a 25-man instance has been altered with the mobs and bosses so it is possible with a smaller group of people? If so, as of now we don't have any plans on altering any mobs; just keeping it original. On a side note, we will perhaps consider lowering the minimum number of players both Hordes and Allies of Battlegrounds. Our plan is to get more players, unforunately buggy WOTLK private servers seem to delude many out there.

right, like on an altered private server we were able to 5 man BT. They altered illidan slight on his HP he had and the damage he did slightly to adjust to a single healer. They left some of his unique moves and the flame circle but they removed the lock tank section making him do able without any locks and with only 5 people. While coucnil was altered to do less damage and attack slower allowing a single tier 6 tank hold all of them.

Ok I understand what you mean. There's a bit of a problem with that though. We'd like to try and gather as many players; so far has only been 2 months and with WOTLK it makes it more difficult for us. The core that we currently use is great; and the devs are taking their time to create a quality WOTLK and we are patiently waiting on that release. Also, it diminishes the real meaning of a "Blizz-like" server too. Of course, we will consider many things like this in the future. We are players too, so we can understand how raiding can be difficult with a smaller population of people. But as it stands, we will not be altering bosses and mobs but we will try our best to gather players and hopefully a great release of WOTLK.

I dont think the population lvl is gonna stay low for long..i remember being the only ally player online for like 2 weeks lol..but its only been around a month and we have almost 50 ppl in our guild itself....we just need to give it some time..ppl will join for sure....and where raiding is concerned i think its better to raid lower lvl instances,ie since there are very few 70's,helps atleast to get rep and keep urself busy until others reach 70 for a proper 5,10man raid,25 man is a little far off now for sure and yes Wotlk sounds cool but i think its better to stay with BC for a while,cause as far as ive heard,even Blizz is havin some probs with it.

please don't alter the instances in any way...the way they are intended is fantastic....if anything at all just make the 25's 10 mans..but even then I wouldn't like to see that happen...

and please, please I beg you don't make this WoTLK...I was in a realm first guild up until 2 weeks ago and the content is garbage...it really did take all the fun out of the game..hence why I'm here on a TBC private server!

This server is not going to upgrade to Wotlk, not in the near future..so don't worry have fun xD

You will have to w8 for bt/sunwell/hyjal..we didn't get to them but my guess, if we "work" hard in 2 months we will get there or at least we get SSC cleaned, we just have to put up a raid sometimes of our best and go try that..it won't be long:)

oh I'm not expecting to jump right in there hehe I like starting from scratch and working my way up...it's so much more rewarding..killing Najentus for the first time always makes a huge explosion in vent

Yeah, I would love to get there. We're at the ZA level right now, so not THAT far off, but just need a few more good and well-geared people to get the 25-mans running.

well count me in! what faction should I be? and class? I'm a very good resto shammy...it's what I've been doing for awhile.... but I'm also a really good DPS warrior

Either character would be welcome in our raids. Go horde! Granted, we have cross-faction raiding here so no biggie if the allies convince you, but our guild doesn't have a resto shammy (and only has one fury warrior, who prefers his hunter right now) so you'd definitely be welcome

wicked! I prefer horde anyway the only problem is my shammy is alliance that I would be trying to roll transfer...would that pose a problem?

If you go horde try aeryk (aegis, archon, aegon, nightblade) pfiu those were a few:)),jaynie,julian, ralys, aoi you just gotta pick xD
If you go ally, try Aura, Judge, Clear ( <- dunno who that is).

I recently did Alliance (for my shammy through wrath) and I must say I prefer Horde...just something about horde is just epic

The racials for horde are definitely my preference, particularly WOTF, the 5% tauren bonus to hp, and the orc damage bonus/stun resist (great for a warrior). Of course, my favorite thing to do after a hard pvp kill is cannibalize... no prettier insult than eating your opponent to get back all those hp he took from you
